To actively promote the prevention and control of indoor air pollution in buildings

"With the change of people's lifestyle, the types of indoor air pollutants are also changing. To promote the prevention and control of indoor air pollution in buildings, on the one hand, we need to build healthy buildings, on the other hand, we need to promote the development of indoor environmental purification technology." Hou Li'an, academician of the CAE Member, said today when participating in the video exchange of the March 15 Integrity Declaration activity of indoor environmental protection decoration. The theme of this event is "Building Integrity Together, Guarding Health", bringing together experts from all walks of life in the industry to discuss topics such as standards and management requirements for green and environmentally friendly interior decoration and decoration, contributing to the healthy development of the industry.

Indoor air pollutants have a wide range of sources, diverse types, and complex components, which not only involve energy structure adjustment and economic development mode transformation, but also are closely related to the quality of building materials, decoration materials, furniture products, and lifestyle. Previously, the release and implementation of the "Indoor Environmental Pollution Control Standards for Civil Construction Projects" in China has played a positive role in comprehensively improving the quality of civil construction projects, enhancing the indoor environmental awareness of the whole society, promoting the progress of China's green and environmentally friendly building decoration materials industry, and promoting the development of China's indoor environmental protection industry.

Promoting the prevention and control of indoor air pollution in buildings requires cooperation from multiple parties and a combination of punches. On the one hand, it is necessary to ensure that newly built buildings meet the relevant requirements of healthy buildings, including using renewable energy as much as possible to reduce energy consumption, doing well in post construction management, and maintaining a clean and comfortable internal environment of the building. On the other hand, it is necessary to strengthen the control of air pollution sources, such as achieving air purification through fresh air systems, selecting functional and environmentally friendly materials that have both decoration and air purification functions, and using indoor building decoration materials.

"In recent years, my team and I have responded to the demand for indoor air pollution prevention and control by conducting research and development on relevant indoor air pollution prevention and control technologies and equipment. We have innovated a full process air purification technology consisting of five units: fresh air system, indoor purification, indoor disinfection, environmental functional materials, and exhaust system, effectively ensuring indoor air quality." Hou Lian introduced.

Previously, Hou Lian and his team published relevant research in the Journal of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, indicating that adaptive attached ventilation technology can deliver fresh air indoors. Compared with traditional top and upper wall air supply technologies, adaptive attached ventilation technology can minimize the spread of pathogens and other pollutants in the room, ensuring the safety and health of indoor personnel.

"During the 14th Five Year Plan period, we will also focus on the treatment of invisible indoor air pollution such as formaldehyde and PM2.5, further develop indoor environmental purification technologies, and promote environmental and health construction," Hou Lian said.

 

要积极推进建筑室内空气污染防治

 

“随着人们生活方式的改变,室内空气污染物种类也在发生变化。推动建筑室内空气污染防治,一方面需要建设健康建筑,另一方面也要推动开发室内环境净化技术。”中国工程院院士侯立安在今日参加室内环保装饰装修3·15诚信宣言活动视频交流时表示。此次活动以“共筑诚信,守护健康”为主题,汇集业内各方大咖,共同探讨室内装饰装修绿色环保的标准、管理要求等话题,为行业的健康发展贡献力量。

室内空气污染物来源广泛、种类繁多、成分复杂,不仅涉及能源结构调整、经济发展方式转变,还与建筑材料、装饰装修材料、家具用品的品质、生活方式等息息相关。此前,我国《民用建筑工程室内环境污染控制标准》发布实施,对全面提高我国民用建筑工程质量,提高全社会的室内环保意识,促进我国绿色环保建筑装饰装修材料产业进步,推动我国室内环境保护行业发展起到了积极作用。

推进建筑室内空气污染防治,需要多方配合,打出组合拳。其中,一方面要保证新建建筑均符合健康建筑的相关要求,包括尽可能利用可再生能源降低能耗,做好后期管理,保持建筑内部环境的清洁、舒适等。另一方面,要加强空气污染源头控制,例如通过新风系统实现空气净化,选用兼具装修装饰及净化空气功能的功能性环保材料室内建筑装修装饰材料采用等。

“近年来我和我的团队应对室内空气污染防治的需求,开展了相关室内空气污染防治技术与设备的研发,创新了包括新风系统、室内净化、室内消毒、环境功能材料、排风系统五个单元组成的全流程的空气净化技术,有效保障了室内空气质量。”侯立安介绍说。

此前,侯立安和他的团队就在“中国工程院院刊”期刊上发表了相关研究,表明适应性贴附通风技术可为室内输送新鲜空气,与传统顶部和上侧壁送风技术相比,适应性贴附通风技术可最大程度地减少病原微生物等污染物在房间内的传播,保障室内人员的安全健康。

“十四五期间,我们也将针对室内甲醛、PM2.5等看不见的室内空气污染治理,进一步开发室内环境净化技术,推动环境与健康建设。”侯立安说。
