Enhancing public awareness of low-carbon and advocating for a low-carbon lifestyle

May 15, 2024 is the 12th National Low Carbon Day, with the theme of "Green, Low Carbon, Beautiful China". The Department of Ecology and Environment of Hebei Province has carefully organized a series of themed promotional activities, including entering government agencies, campuses, and communities, to enhance public low-carbon awareness and further promote the formation of green and low-carbon production and lifestyle.

On May 15th, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment, in collaboration with the Hebei Energy Conservation Association and the Shijiazhuang Ecological Environment Bureau, held a National Low Carbon Day promotion event at Hebei University of Science and Technology to promote low-carbon and climate change related knowledge to teachers and students, encouraging everyone to practice a simple, moderate, civilized, and healthy lifestyle and consumption. The members of the doctoral presentation team from the School of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Engineering at Hebei University of Science and Technology also explained the application of low-carbon technology in simple and understandable language, based on their respective research fields.

On National Low Carbon Day, the province launched the "Green, Low Carbon, Beautiful China" community activity. The Ecological Environment Bureau of Chengde City organized various departments to enter the community and popularize knowledge of garbage classification. The Ecological Environment Bureau of Cangzhou City, in conjunction with the work of creating a civilized city, carried out low-carbon publicity activities in the South Ring East Road community to spread the concept of green development to residents.

Carry out various online and offline themed activities in various forms. On May 15th, the Ecological Environment Bureau of Tangshan City launched an energy shortage experience and green travel activity, advocating "walking within 1 kilometer, cycling within 3 kilometers, and public transportation within 5 kilometers", calling on everyone to actively become low-carbon office and green travel practitioners and promoters. On May 15th, the Provincial Department of Ecology and Environment released a promotional video titled "Green, Low Carbon, Beautiful Hebei" through official WeChat, Weibo and other government new media platforms, launching an online and offline low-carbon initiative to the public. Through public welfare messages, it called on everyone to jointly address climate change and build a green home.

提升公众低碳意识 倡导低碳生活方式

2024年5月15日是第12个全国低碳日，主题为“绿色低碳，美丽中国”。河北省生态环境厅精心组织了一系列主题宣传活动，进机关、进校园、进社区，提升公众低碳意识，进一步推动形成绿色低碳的生产生活方式。

“我们要低碳饮食，减少浪费，少点外卖；低碳穿着，按需购买服饰，每人每年少买一件衣服可减排二氧化碳6.4千克；低碳居住，随手关灯，合理使用空调、电风扇等家电……”5月15日，省生态环境厅携手河北省节能协会、石家庄市生态环境局，在河北科技大学举办全国低碳日宣传活动，向师生普及低碳和应对气候变化的相关知识，号召大家践行简约适度、文明健康的生活方式和消费方式。河北科技大学化学与制药工程学院博士宣讲团成员也结合各自的研究领域，用通俗易懂的语言为大家讲解了低碳技术的应用。

全国低碳日当天，全省开展了“绿色低碳，美丽中国”进社区活动。承德市生态环境局组织各部门走进社区，普及垃圾分类知识。沧州市生态环境局结合创建文明城市工作，在南环东路社区开展低碳宣传活动，向居民传播绿色发展理念。

开展形式多样的线上线下主题活动。5月15日，唐山市生态环境局开展了能源紧缺体验和绿色出行活动，倡导“1公里范围内步行，3公里范围内骑行，5公里范围内公交”，号召大家主动做低碳办公、绿色出行践行者和宣传者。5月15日，省生态环境厅通过官方微信、微博等政务新媒体平台发布了“绿色低碳，美丽河北”宣传片，向公众发起线上线下低碳倡议书，通过公益短信号召大家共同应对气候变化，共建绿色家园。
