Since 2009, holding high the clear banner of "promoting low-carbon concepts, practicing low-carbon living, and implementing family carbon reduction", we have deeply and persistently carried out large-scale public welfare activities such as "low-carbon living in my home" and family carbon reduction public welfare actions. With our own strength, we have called on millions of international low-carbon volunteers to practice low-carbon living and contribute to the country's carbon peak and carbon neutrality "dual carbon" goals.

In today's world, as human activities deepen their impact on the global climate, the scope of the climate crisis is expanding. Greenhouse gases cause global warming, resulting in the greenhouse effect and a series of extreme weather events, leading to a reduction in Arctic sea ice cover; The melting of the Greenland ice sheet is accelerating; The melting of the western Antarctic ice sheet is accelerating; Accelerated melting of the ice sheet in eastern Antarctica; The permafrost layer in Siberia is beginning to melt; Amazon jungle drought; High latitude forests are disappearing; A large number of coral reefs have died; The Atlantic thermohaline circulation is weakening Global climate change is an undeniable fact, and slowing down global warming is imperative!

As is well known, greenhouse gases are the main culprits of global climate change. According to the report issued by the Chinese Academy of Sciences, in China's overall carbon emissions, the carbon emissions generated by residents' consumption account for 53% of the total carbon emissions of the whole society. That is to say, the carbon dioxide emissions from clothing, food, housing, and transportation in our daily lives exceed half of the total carbon emissions! In this situation, it is more urgent and important to deeply integrate low-carbon with every citizen, integrate environmental and technological forces, and accelerate people's positive impact on the environment. This is also a very important factor for us to vigorously promote low-carbon living and practice low-carbon living.

In 2009, the International Low Carbon Volunteer Association was established. The association is voluntarily composed of low-carbon individuals, volunteer service organizations, and units or organizations that care about and support the volunteer service cause. Its purpose is to "promote low-carbon lifestyles and leave our children a clean earth". In order to practice the spirit of volunteerism, spread low-carbon culture, promote and popularize new concepts of green environmental protection, and lead by example, subtly influence and change people's lifestyles, and build a beautiful home on a green earth.

Low carbon living, our mission; reducing carbon at home, our action "is a well-known slogan for all international low-carbon volunteers, and this is not just a slogan, but the determination of all international low-carbon volunteers to protect the Earth's environment and slow down global warming. Because while promoting low-carbon living, we are also making significant public welfare contributions to society. When promoting household carbon reduction, we provide green guarantees for the industrialization of low-carbon living, opening up a new path for the promotion of low-carbon living. The International Low Carbon Volunteer Association will actively promote low-carbon living, practice low-carbon development, create a new green for low-carbon, and jointly shoulder the important mission entrusted by the times.

The beauty and responsibility of international low-carbon volunteers are to make the sun, moon, and stars hanging above humanity clearer, and to strengthen the belief in beauty that resides in everyone's heart. On the same Earth, humanity is a community with a shared future. We all hold the same pure dream in our hearts, connecting low-carbon individuals around the world. Starting from ourselves and doing small things around us, we work together to protect the Earth and light up a green future for the world.

当今世界，随着人类活动对全球气候的影响加深，气候危机的影响范围越来越大，温室气体导致全球气候变暖，产生了温室效应，并且引起了一系列极端天气事件，北极海冰面积减少；格陵兰冰盖消融加速；南极西部冰盖消融加速；南极东部冰盖消融加速；西伯利亚冻土层开始融化；亚马逊丛林干旱；高纬度森林正在消失；珊瑚礁大量死亡；大西洋温盐环流减弱......全球气候变化是个不争的事实，减缓全球变暖，我们势在必行！

众所周知，温室气体是全球气候变暖的罪魁祸首。而根据中国科学院发布的报告显示，在中国总体碳排放中，居民消费产生的碳排放量占全社会碳排放总量的53%。也就是说，我们日常生活中的衣食住行所排放的二氧化碳，超过了整体碳排放总量的一半！在这样的形势下，让低碳与每个民众深入地融合，让环境与科技力量深入融合，加快民众对环境的正面力量，更具紧迫性和重要性。这也是我们极力推广低碳生活，践行低碳生活的一个非常重要的因素。

2009年，国际低碳志愿者协会成立。协会是由低碳有志之士、志愿服务组织以及关心支持志愿服务事业的单位或组织自愿组成，以“推广低碳生活方式，留给我们的孩子一个干净的地球”为宗旨，为实践志愿精神，传播低碳文化，宣传和普及绿色环保的新理念，身体力行、潜移默化地影响和改变人们的生活方式，建设绿色地球美好家园。

“低碳生活，我们的使命；家庭减碳，我们的行动”是所有国际低碳志愿者耳熟能详的口号，而这不仅仅是一句口号，而是全体国际低碳志愿者保护地球环境，延缓全球变暖的决心。因为我们在推广低碳生活的同时，就是对这个社会做出巨大的公益贡献，我们在推行家庭减碳的时候，就在低碳生活产业化发展提供绿色的保障，为低碳生活的推广开创新的道路。全国际低碳志愿者协会将积极推广低碳生活，践行低碳发展，为低碳创造一抹新的绿，共同肩负起时代赋予的重要使命。

国际低碳志愿者所践行的美好和所担当的责任，正是让悬于人类之上的日月星辰更加明朗，让居于每个人心中的美好信仰更加坚定。在同一个地球上，人类是一个命运共同体，我们心中都怀有同样的纯净梦想，链接全球低碳有志之士，从自己做起，做身边的小事做起，携手保护地球，点亮世界的绿色未来。
